Project Snapshot
About the Client
Mibest Beauty is a growing beauty brand offering professional hairstyling and premium human hair wigs to women in Aba and surrounding communities. Before this project, the business relied entirely on referrals, WhatsApp, and social media, with no central platform to build trust with new customers.
The Challenge
Mibest Beauty had a strong local reputation but no digital presence to match it. New visitors had no way to explore services, see real work, read reviews, or understand the story behind the business before reaching out. The available product photography was also limited to wig images, with almost no photos of completed hairstyles.
Design challenge: How might we design a professional, mobile-first website that builds trust, clearly communicates services, simplifies enquiries through WhatsApp, and lays a foundation for future growth?
Strategy
Three principles guided every decision:
- Build trust before selling. The homepage introduces the founder's story and real work before asking visitors to take action.
- Reduce friction with WhatsApp. Rather than forms or booking systems, every call to action leads directly to a WhatsApp conversation, the channel customers already use.
- Design for growth. The site structure allows new services, gallery photos, and testimonials to be added without a redesign.
Mobile-first was non-negotiable. Research showed most visitors would browse on smartphones, so every layout was designed for mobile first, then enhanced for desktop.
Information Architecture
The homepage was structured as a sequence of trust building moments, in the order a first-time visitor actually asks questions:
Hero → Founder's Story → Services → Gallery → Testimonials → FAQ → Contact
Each section answers one question before introducing the next, reducing uncertainty and guiding visitors naturally toward a WhatsApp enquiry.
Design & Dev Highlights
- Brand palette: warm white, charcoal, champagne gold, and soft beige, paired with an elegant serif for headings and a clean sans-serif for body text.
- Gallery: ten wig photos standardized into a uniform grid, each with a descriptive name and a pre-filled WhatsApp enquiry link.
- Testimonials: real client screenshots alongside short, authentic written reviews, deliberately written in plain, natural language rather than polished marketing copy.
- Footer: simplified after review to remove redundant navigation, keeping only essential contact info, hours, and legal links.
- Technical SEO: semantic HTML, optimized metadata, Open Graph tags, and a custom favicon, all built in from the start rather than added later.
Challenges & Solutions
| Challenge | Solution |
|---|---|
| Balancing "premium" with "approachable" | Centered the founder's personal story to humanize the brand. |
| Limited product photography | Structured the gallery and testimonials to carry visual trust in place of a large photo library. |
| Inconsistent gallery images | Standardized every photo into a matching frame size. |
| Cluttered footer | Trimmed to essentials, added a working email link. |
| Testimonial images cropping on mobile | Adjusted image scaling so screenshots display in full on every device. |
Results
The finished site gives Mibest Beauty a professional, mobile-optimized home online for the first time, one that builds trust before asking for a conversation, presents services and real work clearly, and is technically ready for search visibility as the business grows.

Final Reflection
This project reflects an approach to web design built on strategy first, aesthetics second. Every decision, from the mobile-first layout to the WhatsApp-first conversion path, was made to solve a real business problem, not just to look good. The result is a scalable digital platform that gives Mibest Beauty a credible, professional presence it can grow into.
