About the Client

Cee Collections is a Nigerian personal brand built around three businesses: Cee Herbals (herbal wellness and weight management), Cee Sparkles (jewelry and wristwatches), and Cee Beauty Glasses (fashion eyewear). The founder, Cecilia, built all three from scratch because she saw gaps nobody else was filling.

Before this project, the business had no unified digital presence. Sales were happening through WhatsApp, word of mouth, and social media, with no central platform to build trust with new customers or tell the full story of the brand.

03

The Challenge

Cecilia was not asking for a landing page. She was asking for three separate brand experiences, unified under one roof, each with its own identity but all clearly belonging to the same woman and the same values.

The core challenges were:

  • Scope without clutter. Serving three brands on one page without the result feeling diluted or inconsistent.
  • Performance vs. aesthetics. The target audience is on mobile, often on 4G data in Lagos. A cinematic visual experience and a fast-loading page are in direct tension.
  • WhatsApp-first conversion. There is no cart. No payment gateway. The website had to do all the selling, then hand off to WhatsApp to close. Every line of copy and every design decision had to carry that weight.
  • Local SEO across three categories. Ranking for wellness, jewelry, and eyewear in Ago Palace and Lagos, on a single page, without keyword cannibalization.
04

Strategy

Three principles guided every decision:

  • Unified brand, distinct identities. A shared base palette (Champagne Gold, Cream White, Deep Charcoal) with per-brand accent colors. Forest Green for Cee Herbals. Rich Burgundy for Cee Sparkles. Deep Navy for Cee Beauty Glasses. One scroll through the page and you move through three brand territories without the overall experience breaking apart.
  • Build trust before asking for a sale. Each section opens with the founder's own image as proof. She wears the jewelry. She uses the products. She rocks the glasses. No models. No stock photography. The founder is the brand.
  • Value before conversion. Every product section contains a free embedded guide. A wellness and diet guide under Herbals. A styling guide under Sparkles. A face shape guide under Glasses. These are not filler. They are trust-building tools that also support SEO content depth.
05

Information Architecture

The page follows a single continuous reading experience rather than multi-page navigation. One initial load, all content available, no additional HTTP requests on slow connections.

The structure was built as a sequence of trust-building moments:

Hero Her Story Cee Herbals Cee Sparkles Cee Beauty Glasses Testimonials Shipping Distributor Form Final CTA Contact

Each section answers one question before introducing the next. The order mirrors the intended journey: meet the brand, meet the woman, then meet each product line. Herbals leads because it carries the most emotional weight, the connection between motherhood and body confidence.

Within each product section, the pattern is consistent: sub-brand headline, founder image, product listings with pricing, free bonus guide in a collapsed accordion, WhatsApp CTA. Once a visitor learns the pattern in the Herbals section, they navigate Sparkles and Glasses without thinking.

06

Design Decisions

Typography. Georgia for headings and display, Calibri for body. Georgia carries authority and warmth at the same time. Calibri stays readable at small sizes on mobile without zooming.

Color transitions. Background shifts from cream white to off-white between sections rather than hard breaks. The stronger orientation signals are the H2 headings and the accent color changes. The visitor always knows where they are without the page feeling segmented.

Hero section. Full screen. Founder photograph as background. Brand name large and centered. Tagline underneath. One scroll prompt. Nothing else. Stripping the hero down to one image and three lines of text signals confidence. Clutter signals insecurity.

Product cards. Consistent structure across all three brand sections: full-width image, product name, short description, price, Order Now button. Predictability reduces cognitive load. A visitor does not have to relearn the layout three times.

Testimonials. Real customer photographs alongside written reviews. In this market, a photograph of a real customer with a real result is more persuasive than a name and a quote. The section sits after all three product sections and before shipping information, where social proof lands best: after interest is established, before the practical questions are answered.

07

Technical Implementation

The site was built using Antigravity, an AI-assisted website builder, version-controlled through GitHub, and deployed on Netlify. The domain (ceecollections.com.ng) was registered through Whogohost and pointed to the Netlify deployment. Claude handled content writing and copy throughout.

WhatsApp integration. CTAs use wa.me deep links with pre-filled message parameters on Sparkles and Glasses products, so clicking Order Now opens a WhatsApp conversation with the product already identified. Reduces the first-message friction for both sides.

Payment confirmation form. The Cee Herbals section includes an inline bank transfer confirmation form that collects the customer's name, phone number, delivery address, product ordered, and amount paid. Removes a layer of manual back-and-forth from the client's workflow and creates a transaction record.

Distributor form. Embedded directly in the page to capture a second conversion pathway without requiring a separate page or separate campaign.

Open Graph metadata. When the URL is shared on WhatsApp, Facebook, or any platform, it displays a branded preview card with the Cee Collections name, tagline, and hero image. In a market where business recommendations spread through group chats and status updates, that preview card is often the first impression.

08

SEO Strategy

SEO was built in from the first line, not added after.

  • Strict H1, H2, H3 heading hierarchy with keyword phrases embedded naturally in headings
  • Meta title and meta description written to be readable by a human deciding whether to click, not just keyword-relevant
  • Every image carries descriptive alt text with relevant keywords
  • JSON-LD schema markup in the page head: business name, both locations, contact details, business type
  • Keywords distributed across three product categories without clustering or cannibalization

Target keywords covered: weight loss Ago Palace Lagos, belly fat reduction Lagos, herbal wellness products Lagos, jewelry Lagos, premium jewelry Nigeria, fashion accessories Abia State, affordable eyewear Lagos, glasses Ago Palace, Cee Collections Lagos.

Challenges and Solutions

Challenge Solution
Three brands, one visual identity Shared base palette, per-brand accent colors applied to headings, buttons, and dividers
WhatsApp checkout drop-off risk Pre-filled message links for Sparkles and Glasses; inline bank transfer form for Herbals
Rich imagery vs. mobile load speed Pre-upload compression, CSS-constrained image dimensions, system fonts (zero extra HTTP requests), CSS animations instead of JavaScript
SEO across three categories on one page Each section treated as its own semantic content unit with its own keyword cluster; schema markup covers all three categories

Final Reflection

This project was about closing a gap. Cecilia had three real businesses, a strong local reputation, and products she genuinely believed in because she used them herself. What she did not have was a digital presence that matched any of it.

Building for the Nigerian mobile market means making different choices than you would make for a global brand. WhatsApp is not a workaround. It is the channel. Mobile is not a secondary consideration. It is the primary one. SEO is not optional. It is how new customers find you when your social reach has a ceiling.

The standard the brief set was simple: when she sees this website for the first time, she should feel like her brand finally looks like what she always knew it could be.

That was the job. Everything else was just the work of getting there.
